After taking an early lead in the drivers and constructors championships, Ferrari’s 2018 season plummeted with a disastrous finish.

Today, at the 2019 season launch in Maranello, Ferrari unveiled yet another flat finish, but this time it was well received.

“It’s matte, not flat!” one fan wrote online

Incoming Team Principal Mattia Binotto, who himself has changed his name to Matte Binotto, praised the team’s bold new livery.

“I love it!” Binotto told the world’s media.

“When you think Ferrari and think Formula 1, you think shiny, rich red cars” Binotto said.

“That’s why I’m so excited to be unveiling this flat orangey-black thing”

Binotto was drawn on the similarities between this year’s flat finish and last year’s flat finish.

“It’s no secret that last year was not the season we had hoped for” Binotto said.

“We took the shine off last year” Binotto told the press, “so we thought – why not make it official?”

Binotto said the focus of Ferrari is firmly on track.

“At the end of the day, it’s not about the finish” Binotto finished.

“This car has one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to help us achieve our dream – to sell as many cigarettes as possible”
