After asking his crew to help put out a brake fire for Alex Albon in FP2, Sebastian Vettel has again showed his generosity, instructing his mechanics to rebuild Albon’s Toro Rosso after a heavy crash in FP3.

“Help them, help them rebuild the STR14!” Vettel said over the radio.

Albon crashed his Toro Rosso on the pit straight toward the end of Saturday’s final practice session.

“Get it up on the jacks and start rebuilding the chassis!” the German told his team.

Ferrari mechanics will be working long into the afternoon to make sure the Toro Rosso can be eliminated in Q2.

The downside of Vettel’s decision is that Ferrari engineers won’t be able to work on Leclerc’s car after his issues in FP2 on Friday.

“Oh well” Vettel said, laughing maniacally inside the SF90

But in a bizarre twist, Albon wasn’t appreciative of the germans offers for help.

“I was actually trying to set fire to it on Friday I hate driving it that much” Albon said

“But Seb had to stick his nose in”

“So I thought I’d stick it into the wall, there’s no way Seb can help with that!” Albon said.

“If he had to drive this thing, he’d be setting it on fire too”
