Fed up with the tyre problems and lack of pace at Haas, Romain Grosjean has built his own car ahead of the Barcelona Grand Prix.

Unable to wait any longer for new parts and pace for the American team, French driver Grosjean has literally taken matters into his own hands.

“Ta daaaa!!” the Frenchman said, unveiling his F1 challenger.

“Pretty cool, huh??”

Haas confirmed the car will make it’s debut appearance during Friday’s FP1 in Spain.

“My son’s going to drive it” Grosjean said

“After all – it’s his”

It comes as reports emegr from the garage that Team Principal Guenther Steiner’s expletive-laden tirades actually stem from Grosjean’s new car.

“He stepped on some lego” Romain confirmed, “barefoot”

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Grosjean either, who encountered several issues along the way.

“I couldn’t get the tyres on” Romain told us.

“And I asked our pit crew, and they couldn’t either – not surprisingly

Grosjen revealed he had stayed up all night in a bid to get the new car ready for Barcelona.

“I had a case of Rich Energy” said Grosjean

“I had to – you can only buy it in cases” conceded the Frenchman.
