After the 5th straight Mercedes 1-2 in qualifying, many in the Formula 1 Paddock are asking the question – should the other teams even bother showing up tomorrow?

“What’s the point?” Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel told reporters after QUALIFYING.

“They’re just going to dominate the race for the 5th straight round” Red Bull’s Max Verstappen said.

“I don’t think I can catch them” Williams’ Robert Kubica said, although it turned out he was talking about the Safety car.

With fans in Barcelona giving away their tickets, several of the large teams are in talks to throw in the towel amidst Mercedes dominance.

“We’re out!” McLaren boss Zak Brown said.

“The more interesting race will be to see who can get out of the carpark the quickest”

“We’ve had good pace all weekend in the carpark, so we’re confident” Haas head Guenther ‘The Gunt’ Steiner told us.

“C’mon guys!” Team Principal Toto Wolff begged his peers at an emergency FIA meeting on Saturday afternoon.

“We’ll go easy we swear!” Wolff cried, “we’ll only win by a couple of seconds!”
